Working with a Feng Shui Consultant

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. It will be on February 8, 2016. According to Feng Shui, energy flow changes every lunar year. And this change affect the success, growth, relationship, etc. of every person according to Feng Shui studies.

In the Philippines, with 80% Catholic population, it's quite a surprise clients seek geomancers (Feng Shui consultants) for their houses and establishments. Clients ask for them to assure good fortune, success and healthy relationship.

What I'd like to share with you is my experience collaborating with Mr. Hechanova. He's a geomancer who I'ved worked with for 2 projects. He studied Feng Shui abroad.

The first time I worked with Mr. Hechanova, I've already completed all the architectural designs. The floor plan layout was already approved by the client. All considerations were in place in the design. And then, Mr. Hechanova came in. Considering all the birth signs of my client and his family, design has to change. In short, the approved architectural design was scrapped. We did the design again from ground after knowing the locations of every family member in the house based on their birth signs. After going through this professional exercise, I understand now how to work with a Feng Shui consultant.

On our 2nd project, I asked my client if she is going to get Feng Shui consultant. When she said yes, I referred Mr. Hechanova to her. With my previous experience working with him, I didn't do any architectural drawings yet. I requested Mr. Hechanova to prepare his 3 X 3 grid layout and locate the auspicious quadrants. He even pinpointed on the layout the best locations for each family member based on their birth dates. Now that I had his layout, I started doing the architectural designs and included his Feng Shui recommendations. The progress of the design went smoothly and the project was completed auspiciously.

1. For projects to be newly constructed, before asking for your architect to design the building, get first the feng shui's consultant's recommendations.

2. Let your architect and feng shui consultant work closely so that they can give the right design for you.

3. Feng Shui consultant will be giving certain auspicious dates when to start constructing and when the project must be turned over during the finishing stage. Make sure your builder and architect know these dates so they can program the construction phase.
